Hikes and Activities

Sat Jan.  23rd   
Monterey Walk  Along Cannery Row
 We’ll walk along the bike path, take in the sights, and  
stop for a mocha or lunch.  
Meet again at TLC in front of the portables at 10:00am.


Sat.   Feb. 13th  Hike   The Weather will decide where.

Cyclists
Also,  Calling  all cyclists. We are beginning once a month
Bicycle rides in our area after church on the first Sunday of
each month. The rides are 6-12 miles long in scenic places.
We’re looking for some experienced cyclists with good working
bicycles.  We’ll meet at 2:00 in various locations. Call if interested.


0n all hikes bring a sack lunch, layer your clothes, bring lots of water, and wear
good hiking boots. We meet at 10:00am. at Twin Lakes Church in front of the
portable classrooms. Please call or email me to RSVP, so I can plan. Call Wayne for

Hike ratings

Level 1 = easy, short walk of 1-2 miles and level.
example = a beach walk or tour

Level 2 = a hike of about 2-4 miles with some hills           
and river crossings. For beginners or those out of shape
.                                                  
Level 3= a hike of about 3-5 miles with lots of hills and rugged
trails and river crossings on rocks. For those who
like challenges.  For experienced hikers

Level 4= a very challenging hike of 6-8 miles with steep hills
and very rugged trails. Count on this to be an all day
hike for those ready for a big challenge. For very         
experienced hikers ready for a great workout.

For those wanting or ready for a level 4 hike,
please give me a call and we’ll schedule a level 4 on a
Saturday when there’s not a scheduled hike.


What To Bring On all hikes

Layer clothes for changing conditions, bring at least a liter of water or more, wear good
fitting hiking boots, bring food to supply you energy and a lunch for hikes over 4 miles,
a camera, a backpack or fanny pack, sunscreen, a hat to shade your head, and whatever
else you like to bring on hikes.
